About

Played the role of the Knight Bus conductor, Stan Shunpike, in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and also played Detective John Bacchus in the BBC's Inspector George Gently. He played Gustave in the 1998 movie Ever After. 

Before Fame

He got a part in the 2000 BBC miniseries, Nature Boy, alongside Paul McGann. 

Trivia

In addition to his Harry Potter role, he had supporting parts in films including Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. 

Family Life

He was born in Burnley, Lancashire, and grew up in nearby Brierfield with his family.
