Brazillian actor known for his work in soap operas and telenovelas such as O Bem Amado and Roque Santeiro. He is considered one of the pioneers of Brazillian TV. 

Before Fame

He made his film debut in 1949. He appeared in TV Tupi, in 1950. He started performing in soap operas in 1961.

Trivia

He has also been known as a voice actor and dubbed the voices of Top Cat, Wally Gator and Dum Dum on the classic show Top Cat. 

Family Life

He was born Ariclenes Venâncio Martins in Sacramento, Minas Gerais, Brazil. He has been married to Marisa Sanches, Ritva Yarvinin and Mara Martins. All three marriages ended in divorce. He is the father of three children named Monica Martins, Pedro Martins and Júlia Martins. He is also the grandfather of four. 

Associated With

In 1980, he performed as Regina Casé's character's father in the show Os Sete Gatinhos. In 2000, he performed as her character's husband in Eu Tu Eles.
