Argentine sports journalist, radio host, and soccer commentator known for being the long-time voice of River Plate where he has been known for his passionate and emotional match commentary and for becoming one of the most iconic broadcasters associated with the club. He is also known for hosting River-focused radio programs such as River Monumental along with being featured on major Argentine radio stations including Radio Del Plata, Radio Mitre, Radio Rivadavia, Radio 10, and Radio El Mundo.

Before fame

He developed an early passion for sports and radio broadcasting and aspired to become a sports journalist. He was part of a program covering Argentina's lower leagues called El ascenso por tres in 1984 and gained early experience calling matches and developing his commentary style. His big breakthrough came in 1991 when he officially became the dedicated commentator for River Plate broadcasts on Radio Del Plata. He announced his departure from his River broadcasting career after more than 30 years in January 2024 but continued to focus on producing digital media and radio content.

Trivia

He released the book Mi Vida Con River in 2020 which chronicles his personal journey, his love for River Plate, and his experiences covering the club. He spent approximately 90 days hospitalized in 2014 due to a serious lung infection and was visited by Marcelo Gallardo. He is also known for his YouTube and Instagram accounts where he shares River Plate commentary, live match reactions, and interview content.
