Before fame
He began singing when he was 13 years old around 2008 performing with voice and guitar at small events. He moved from Bahia to Maranhão in 2014 after being invited by local entrepreneurs to form a band which became Mesa de Bar. He gained recognition in Maranhão's music scene as Mesa de Bar's vocalist performing songs such as "Tratorista" and "Eu Te Esperarei." He spent several years building a regional fanbase before launching his solo career in 2023 with the release of his EP Uma Nova História.

Family life
His real name is Luã Costa Castro. He was born to Lourival de Jesus Castro who worked as a carpenter's assistant, and Agildaíra Cândida Costa who worked as a domestic worker. He is the oldest of three siblings. He is a father.
