She earned her undergraduate degree in civil engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and then earned a master's degree in business from Columbia University. She joined TikTok on June 5, 2020 and uploaded a video about making a peanut butter, Nutella and banana acai bowl.

On July 24, 2020, she was featured on Vice.com in an article titled, I Want This TikTok Grandma To Teach Me Everything About Food. She received a Streamy Award for Best Editing in 2021. She has been known to use Generation Z slang in her videos for its humorous effect. She was also known on YouTube as Cooking With Lynja.

Family Life

Her full name was Lynn Davis. She was married and has four grown children, one of whom is a videographer who helped launch her TikTok account. She had grandchildren.
