Mac McClung

About

Guard who played two years of college basketball at Georgetown University before transferring to Texas Tech University to finish out his collegiate career. He declared for the 2021 NBA draft but went undrafted. He went on to earn multiple NBA G League contracts and he was named the NBA G League Rookie of the Year in 2022. He gained widespread recognition after he won the 2023 NBA Slam Dunk Contest as the first G League player to ever compete in the contest. 

Before Fame

He played high school basketball at Gate City High School in Virginia. He was rated as a three-star prospect by ESPN in high school. 

Trivia

One of his best college games came during his freshman year, when he scored 38 points in a win over  Little Rock. 

Family Life

His father, Marcus, played football at Virginia Tech. He has brothers named Noah and Cam and a sister named Anna who played soccer collegiately. 

Associated With

He beat out Kenyon Martin Jr, Trey Murphy III and Jericho Sims to win the 2023 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
