Before Fame
He began training in 2006 after a friend introduced him to the sport. He didn't turn professional until late 2011. He earned a Master's degree in Physical Education from the University of Łódź. His early breakout occurred when he captured the M-1 Heavyweight Grand Prix in 2013. He continued developing his fighting career and had four wins in 2020. He won over unbeaten Alexandr Romanov at UFC 278 in August 2022.
Trivia
He won three victories in just eight days early in his career which was a brutal schedule for any heavyweight. He was listed at #7 among UFC heavyweights in June 2025.
Family Life
He grew up in Uniejów, a small central-Polish spa town.
