About
Professional bass angler best known for competing on the MLF Bass Pro Tour under Team Toyota. As a multi-tour winner, he has accrued at least three professional-level wins in addition to dozens of top-10 and top-20 finishes and more than $1.25 million in career earnings. His career breakout and launch into pro tours came in 2013, when he won the TBF National Championship.
Before Fame
He was introduced to fishing at a young age by his father, who would often take him to fish in the San Francisco Bay. At the age of 11, he joined the Bass Anglers of Northern California before learning bass-fishing techniques by watching tournaments on television as a teen. He entered his first bass tournament as a co-angler when he was 14 years old.
Trivia
In the bass-fishing community, he is often referred to by his nickname, "MDJ." Outside of fishing, he is also passionate about gardening, hunting, and billiards.
Family Life
He and his wife, Taneisha, share two children: a son named Mark Daniels III and a daughter named Morgan.
