Mark Suster

About

Investor who has gained fame as a managing partner at the top Los Angeles venture capital firm, Upfront Ventures. He has led Upfront Ventures to invest in Nanit, Bird, and uBeam.   He previously worked as a vice president for Salesforce after the company acquired his startup, Koral, in 2007.

Before Fame

He graduated from UC San Diego in 1991 with a bachelor's degree. He later earned his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1998.

Trivia

He helped fund, and was later on the board for Maker Studios, which was eventually acquired by Disney for over $500 million.  He has over 330,000 followers on Twitter, where he discusses investing, sports, and politics.  He started a blog titled Both Sides of the Table to discuss learnings from his experience both as an investor and a startup founder.

Family Life

He has two children with his wife. He has a brother named Matt.

Associated With

In January of 2020 he posted a picture with Paris Hilton on his Instagram account.  Paris had attended the UpFront summit, which is an annual conference his firm hosts to bring together founders and investors from Southern California and beyond.
