In her youth, she trained under dancer Martha Davies and was briefly a dancer with the United Service Organizations (USO). She established a dance studio in the mid-1940s.
She died of colon cancer in her late eighties.
She spent her childhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Miami, Florida. She and her husband, George "Solley" Miller, welcomed their one child, Abby Lee Miller, in the mid-1960s.
Jojo Siwa was one of the many teen dancers who joined Miller's daughter's famous dance team and appeared in televised dance competitions.
