About

Comedian, actor, and writer who is a co-star and creator of the IFC series Janice and Jeffrey. He hosted the Snapchat comedy Ghost Hunt. He has appeared on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. In 2018, he was recognized by The Advocate as one of the LGBT Icons, Innovators, and Disruptors for his work in the field of stand-up comedy. 

Before Fame

He started to sing opera at the age of 15. He attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He studied oil painting and drawing.

Trivia

He began his comedy career at open mics in Chicago. In 2014, he was featured in "New Faces" at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. He and Emma Willmann co-hosted a podcast called Inside the Closet. He was also featured in Netflix's The Comedy Lineup. 

Family Life

He has Mexican and Italian descent through his mother. His father is a Vietnam War veteran and is of Irish descent. He has an older brother.
