American journalist and Pulitzer-Prize winning author who is known for his work with The New York Times, MSNBC, and NBC News. He is known for covering topics of national security and federal law enforcement and broke the story that Donald Trump asked FBI directed James Comey for a loyalty pledge, a story which led to the special counsel investigation into the President. 

Before Fame

He graduated from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania in 2005 with an AB in International Affairs. He then co-founded and edited the newspaper Marooned with his classmate. He started working for the Boston Globe in 2004 and joined The Times as a news clerk in 2005. 


He is also known for having been a correspondent for The Times in Iraq during 2011. He uncovered several classified documents which involved the Haditha Massacre in 2005.
