About
Islamic educator best known for being a faculty member and instructor at the Dallas, TX-based Qalam Seminary, where he has taught Islamic sciences including Tafsīr, Sīrah, ʿAqīdah, and Ḥadīth. He has hosted lectures through the Qalam Podcast. He also previously served as resident scholar with the Islamic Societies of both Annapolis and Baltimore.
Before Fame
He grew up within a Christian household before embracing Islam at the age of 18 after having read the Qur'an and The Autobiography of Malcolm X. He went on to obtain his degree in Islamic Studies at the Dar ul-Uloom Canada. He also earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Tarleton State University.
