Her professional career officially ignited in 1996 when she joined forces with her bandmates at just 14 years old, eventually skyrocketing to international fame with Kittie's gold-certified debut album, Spit, in 2000.

She was born in Edmonton, Alberta, but spent her formative years and launched her career out of London, Ontario, Canada. Her career is entirely intertwined with her relatives; her younger sister, Mercedes Lander, is the co-founder and drummer of Kittie, and her mother, Deanna "Dee" Lander, alongside her late father, Dave Lander, historically helped manage the band's business affairs through their family-owned company, X of Infamy.
