Indian film actress who works in the South Indian film industry where she appears as a leading actress in a range of Malayalam and Tamil films. She is best known for her performance in the film Sri Rama Rajyam where she played the character Goddess Sita. 

Before Fame

She made her feature film debut in 2003 with the Malayalam film Manassinakkare. She then expanded to Tamil cinema with a performance i the 2005 film Ayya. She then expanded further to Tamil and Telugu films in 2005 with an appearance in Chandramukhi. 

Trivia

She has won a range of awards for her acting including an Asianet Film Award for Best Actress in 2010, a South Indian International Movie Award for Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2016, and a Behindwoods Gold Medal for Best Acting Performance in 2013. 

Family Life

She was born and raised in Bengaluru, India. She is known for having been in a relationship with director Vignesh Shivan.

She starred alongside Arya and Ajith Kumar in the 2013 Tamil action-thriller film Arrambam.
