A fan favorite on Season 8 of the hit reality TV show Love Island has grown her Instagram account paigethornex to over 1.4 million followers. She is a paramedic back in her home country of Wales. She was the first cast member announced for the 2022 season.

Before Fame

She graduated from her Paramedic program at the end of 2019, just as the COVID-19 Pandemic started, the UK lock down in the beginning of March 2020.  While she reports that she isn't afraid to step on toes to find love, she has no career expectations from the show. She intends to return to operating as a paramedic, finding much fulfillment in the career.

Trivia

She has been unsuccessful finding in love in Swansea leading up to her appearance on the show. Although, according to a TikTok post just before the premiere, she did reveal she has been engaged at least once before.

Family Life

Her parents along with her sister and her family were all present for her Dec 2019 graduation.

Fellow Love Island cast member and former boyfriend Adam Collard has appeared in photos with her on Instagram. She's now dating Swansea football player Liam Cullen.
