Pavel Kaplun

About

Russian photographer, painter, and artist who is known for being the CEO behind the Kaplun creative studio. Specializing in close ups of people, animals, and landscapes he shares his works through Instagram for his over 60,000 followers. He is also known for having published several books including Digital ProLine and The Big Book of Digital Photos. 

Before Fame

He started working as a chemical engineer before he started painting. He then started working in the medium of photography in 1999. In 2005, he started teaching photography at several institutions and in 2014, he started teaching travel based photo classes throughout different countries. 

Trivia

He has won several awards for his photography including the DOCMA Award in Germany, the Trierenberger Circuit in Austria, and the Al-Thani Award in 2008 in Qatar. 

Family Life

He was born and raised in Kuznetsk, Soviet Union and is the father of two children.
