Professional surfer who has become famous for chasing some of the biggest, most dangerous waves in the world. He was nominated for a 2016 Big Wave Award in the XXL Biggest Wave category for his ride of a wave in Nazaré, Portugal.

Before fame

He grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Trivia

A video of him being wiped out by a massive wave and rescued by friend Lucas Chianca went viral and was featured on Nat Geo's website. 

Family life

He married actress Luana Piovani, with whom he has a son named Don.
