Before Fame
He first learned to play drums at the age of 9 and when he turned 11, he formed his first rock band. After playing in Vietnam throughout the 1960's, he earned the nickname of Mick Jagger of the Philippines.

He is also an actor who is known for having played one of the lead characters in the 2014 film Above the Clouds.
Family Life
He was born in Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines but was raised in several places after the death of his mother at the age of eight. He has five children.
