Spanish composer, music producer, sound designer, and music educator known for his online teaching platform Pere Hernández Music where he focuses on composing, producing, and music education and shares practical songwriting and music production tutorials across YouTube, TikTok, and other social platforms. He is also known for his long professional career composing original music for theater, film, television, advertising, and multimedia.
Before fame
He began studying music when he was 7 years old after his mother enrolled him in the Conservatory of Barcelona. He initially studied violin and accordion before choosing piano as his main instrument. He entered the Aula de Música Moderna i Jazz de Barcelona in 1983 which is a school affiliated with the Berklee School of Music. He began working professionally as a keyboardist and accompanist in the Catalan music scene during the mid-1980s. He co-founded a music school in Mataró in 1986, and he joined the teaching staff at the Aula de Música Moderna i Jazz de Barcelona in 1991. He founded Audioart Estudi in 2001 which became the base for his production and composition work.
Trivia
He has taught over 14,000 students through courses, workshops, and masterclasses. He composed original music for theater productions including Kràmpack, El sopar dels idiotes, and Mitad y Mitad. He launched Pere Hernández Music in 2021 to share four decades of professional experience.
