Before fame

They were born in Anaheim Hills, California, and grew up in Riverside. They adopted the professional name Perry Picasshoe as a teenager, inspired by artist Pablo Picasso and contemporary internet art culture. They later attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where they studied visual arts and earned a bachelor's degree.

Trivia

Their artwork Neveah was painted on a discarded canvas he found in a trash bin at UCLA. In 2025, They created the public art project 36 I.C.E. Blocks, placing large blocks of ice at locations connected to immigration enforcement activity throughout Southern California to raise awareness about the impact of ICE raids on immigrant communities.

His real name given to him by his parents is Juan Hernandez-Marquez. He was born in Anaheim Hills, California and raised in Riverside, California. He is a first-generation Mexican American.
