American politician who is known for having served in the Department of State as a Senior Advisor to then US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He is also known for having served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Strategic Communications.
His career in politics started in 2000 when he helped with the Gore-Lieberman Presidential campaign. In 2001, he continued to serve with Al Gore as his Teaching Assistant while he taught at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. He then met Hillary Clinton in July of 2002 when he started serving as her Press Secretary.
He was born and raised in New York City but later settled in Washington, D.C.
