She dropped out of school at age fifteen to pursue acting on stage and emigrated from Australia to the United States when she was eighteen.

Trivia

She used to send head shots of herself to Julia Roberts' former manager in the hopes of becoming recognized. It worked because he eventually signed her.

Family Life

She has a son, Jackson, with actor Adam Kaufman, but the two separated in 2011. In April of 2013, she welcomed a baby girl named Violet with Shawn Sanford, whom she married in 2014.
