Indian television and film actress and content creator known for playing Rita Reporter on the hit Hindi sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah along with her work in The Stoneman Murders, Desires of the Heart, C.I.D., Accident on Hill Road, Adaalat, and Ssshhhh... Phir Koi Hai. She is also known for her Instagram account @priyaahujarajda where she shares a mix of fitness and lifestyle content, motherhood moments with her son, family life, fashion and travel posts, and motivational reflections with over 750,000 followers.

Before fame

She attended Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gole Market and studied fashion design at the JD Institute of Fashion Technology. She worked corporate jobs and briefly pursued fashion before she decided to become an actress. She eventually moved to Mumbai to chase her acting dreams and went through years of auditions and financial struggle before landing roles on Doordarshan serials and then getting cast in Ssshhhh... Phir Koi Hai in 2007. She was then cast in Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah in 2008. She was also cast in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2008 which became her breakthrough role.

Trivia

She won Best Celebrity Content Creator at the Star Eminence Awards in 2023 and also received honors from IIFTA and Perfect Woman Awards. She is a dedicated fitness enthusiast, a trained Zumba lover, and a plant mom with over 100 plants at home. She slept in a friend's kitchen during her early Mumbai struggle days because she couldn't afford rent, but she never gave up on acting.

Family life

She was born and raised in Delhi in a Punjabi Hindu family. She married television director Malav Rajda in November 2011. The couple welcomed their son Ardaas Rajda in 2019.
