Before fame

He became a born-again Christian in 1998 after earlier struggles in his youth, and he made his gospel recording debut in 1999 as Prodigal Son. His big break came in 1999 when his debut gospel single "I Wish" became a big hit in Jamaica. He released his first album Radikal Prodigal in 2000.

Trivia

His second album Still Standing was voted Best Gospel Album of 2005 by Love 101. His 2017 album Pure Gold was named Gospel Album of the Year for 2018 at the Sterling Gospel Music Awards. He released the tell-all book The Blaak Sheep in 2024 to mark 25 years in gospel music.
