Director who is famous for his maverick career in India's Tollywood film and TV industries. He has directed the hugely popular Zee Bengala comedy series Mirakkel, as well as the massively popular films Chirodini Tumi Je Amar (2008) and Katmundu (2015).

Before Fame

He earned his bachelor's degree from Rishi Bankim Chandra Colleges. He began his career in entertainment as an actor before switching to directing. 

Trivia

He directed and appeared in a cameo role in the 2012 romance film Bojhena Shey Bojhena. He won the Tele Cine Award for best director for his work on the film. 

Family Life

He married his second wife and Indian actress Subhashree Ganguly. He was previously married between 2006-2011 to Shatabdi Mitra.
