He graduated from the BMS College of Engineering with a software degree. He then graduated from the BMS Institute of Technology and Management.

Trivia

He once ran a company called Bangalore, but was defrauded by investors. He decided to try acting and modeling. His writing work was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Story. It was when he moved to Mumbai that he began pursuing acting. Early on in his career, he worked with director Anurag Kashyap, who later became his mentor.

Family Life

He has stated he was cheated by several unnamed family member/investors when he ran an earlier software venture.
