National championship Indian swimmer who is known for competing in the backstroke, butterfly, and individual medley events. He is known for having represented India at the 2009 Asian Championships in Foshan where he earned the bronze medal.
He first qualified for the men's 200 m butterfly at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He completed his education in Jain University in Bangalore and went on to represent India nationally in 2009.
He is known for being an Arjuna Award winning swimmer and also received the Eklavya Award from the Karnataka Olympic Association.
He was born and raised in Karnataka, India.
He competed on the same team as Virdhawal Khade when they collectively won the 4x100 meter medley Bronze medal at the 2009 Asian Championships
