Remembered both for battling childhood cancer and for inspiring the Taylor Swift single "Ronan," this Arizona boy tragically died of neuroblastoma just days before his fourth birthday.
He was diagnosed with Stage IV neuroblastoma on August 12, 2010. A day later, he underwent surgery at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
His foundation has nearly 50,000 Facebook likes, and his mother's Instagram, mamamaya, has over 20,000 followers.
He had older brothers named Quinn and Liam; his younger sister, Poppy, was born after his death. His mother, Maya Thompson, and father, Woody Thompson, began the Ronan Thompson foundation in his honor.
Taylor Swift released the charity track "Ronan" on iTunes in September of 2012.
