About

Sri Lankan singer, songwriter, and composer known for his contributions to the Sri Lankan entertainment industry through music composition for films, live performances, and educational initiatives. He is known for his songs "Rosa Kalpana," "Sithin Yana Aya," "Oba Hamuweema Mata," "Nethu Maanaye," and "Sansara Purudda."

Before Fame

He participated in his high school's band and mastered multiple instruments including the guitar, piano, violin, and flute. He earned a diploma in vocal classical music from Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya and a master's degree in business management from AIPAC University. His career in music received a boost after he appeared on the singing competition show Sirasa Superstar in 2008. He released his first music album Sankranthi in August 2009. 

Trivia

He received the Best Music Video Award at the Derana Music Video Awards for his song "Rosa Kalpana" in 2016. He composed scores for films such as Nino Live and Colour. He also contributed as a playback singer for the films Yugathra and Kidnap. He compiled the Applied Music Syllabus for the National Youth Council and served as a speech training lecturer at the National Youth Service Council in 2014.

Family Life

He was born Sanka Dineth Maneesha De Silva. He was born and raised in Kalutara, Sri Lanka. He has two sons with Teena Ruvini Fernando.
