Saranya Mohan

About

Indian actress who began acting as a child after director Fazil saw her dancing, and cast her in the movie Aniyathi Pravu in 1997. After starring in multiple movies, she took a break from acting to focus on her studies. She returned in 2005 with the film Oru Naal Oru Kanavu, but it was her role as Pooja in Yaaradi Nee Mohini that really brought her critical acclaim and accolades. 

Before Fame

She received a bachelor of arts degree in English Literature from St. Joseph's College for Women, and a master of arts from Annamalai University. 

Trivia

In 2014 she made her Bollywood debut playing Sapna in the Shailesh Verma movie Badlapur Boys. 

Family Life

Her parents, Mohan and Kalamandalam Devi, are classically trained dancers and run a dance school together. She has a younger sister, Sukanya. She married Aravind Krishnan in 2015. They have a son, Anantapadmanabhan Aravind.
