Striker who, in March 2008, became the top goal-scorer in Peruvian League history. While playing for Cienciano, he won the 2004 Recopa Sudamericana and 2005 Torneo Apertura titles.
He was born in Rio Cuarto, Argentina but moved to Peru to play for Ciclista Lima at age nineteen.
He has been given many nicknames, including "El Checo" and "Shevchecho" after Ukrainian star Andriy Shevchenko.
