Known for bestselling albums such as Pedar, Didar, and Sahneh, this Iranian American vocalist and songwriter is perhaps most famous for his popular singles 'Mohtaj,' 'Delbare Naz,' and 'Yek Do Seh.'
He released his debut album, Hamsayeh Haa, in 1985.
Three of the songs from his The Voice album were nominated for Grammy Awards.
He was born in Ahwaz, Iran, and he later settled in Los Angeles, California. He and his wife Caroline fostered several children and adopted sons named Noah and Rocco.
He and Benyamin Bahadori are both Iranian born pop singers.
