Before Fame
He struggled with violence at home, social exclusion, and poverty while growing up in Denmark. He became involved with the Bloodz gang in Hundige and survived multiple violent incidents. His life took a major turn in the early 2010s when he chose to leave the gang world behind and channel his experiences into music. His story was published in the Danish biography But We Became Evil in 2012 which helped pave the way for his rap career. He released his breakout single "Bomaye" in 2016.
Trivia
He sued rapper 6IX9INE in 2019 over an unreleased collaboration and payment dispute. His 2022 memoir Instead We Became Evil received international media attention including coverage by NPR, WBUR, and Boston Magazine.
Family Life
His full name is Sleiman Nejim. He was born in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh near Sidon, Lebanon. He immigrated to Denmark as a child and grew up in the Askerød housing project in the suburb of Hundige.
