Stefanie Reid

About

Paralympian and reality TV star known for her athletic career and her culinary skills. She competes in the T44 category for Track and Field, and she represents Great Britain. She won a bronze medal for sprinting at the 2008 Paralympic games in Beijing. In 2012, she competed at the London Paralympics, taking home a silver medal for the long jump. Her 2008 Paralympic participation was on behalf of Canada, but she switched her allegiance to Great Britain in time for the 2012 Paralympic Games. In 2018, she competed on MasterChef Celebrity and made it to the semi-finals. She was also selected for season 14 of Dancing on Ice. 

Before Fame

She was highly involved in sports from a young age. Prior to her accident, she played rugby. She later studied biochemistry at Queen's University. 

Trivia

At the age of 15, she lost her right foot in a boating accident. She discussed the accident during a Channel 4 (British) interview. 

Family Life

She was born in New Zealand. Both of her parents are British. She married Brent Lakatos, a Canadian wheelchair athlete.
