Before Fame

She was born and raised in southern California. She earned degrees in environmental studies and international relations at the University of Pennsylvania.

Trivia

In 2003, one of her early anchor roles had her reporting from Iraq during the Iraq War, and this experience is part of what led ABC to hire her.

Family Life

Her mother immigrated to the United States from Taiwan, and she has three siblings. She married David Jensen Ariosto in 2017, and she has a daughter.
