Business journalist and author known for her time as editor of the Harvard Business Review, where she was fired after having an affair with then-married Jack Welch. They would later get married (after his divorce) and have written best-selling business books together.
She worked at the Miami Herald after graduating from Harvard in 1981. In 1988, she went to back to school, attending Harvard Business School.
One of her most popular and best selling books is 10-10-10: A Life Transforming Idea. She's served on the Board of the Directors of the Humane Society.
She married Eric Wetlaufer in 1985 and had three children with him. She married Welch in 2004, three years after their infamous affair.
She's appeared on several talk shows, including Morning Joe with Joe Scarborough.
