He was pick 180 during round five of the NFL Draft in 2021 and signed a four-year contract to play for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He attended Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis, Oregon where he was named Polynesian High School National Player of the Year in 2017. He majored in communications at the University of Southern California. He played on USC's football team and in 2020 received Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award.

Family Life

His parents are Tevita and Tanya Hufanga. His brother TJ was a linebacker for Oregon State University. The family grew up on a farm where they took care of various farm animals. In 2022 he posted pictures to Instagram with his girlfriend along with the caption "Been Down Still Down. My Ta'ahine"
