Before fame

He was one of the original guitarists for the metal band Within The Ruins before becoming known for his food content. He started The Vulgar Chef as a food photography project in 2013 during the rise of Instagram food culture.

Trivia

He released the free Eat Like S*hit Cookbook in 2014. His viral candy corn grilled cheese was covered by Newsweek and Better Homes & Gardens. He was featured on the podcasts Guess Who's Coming to Dinner in 2022, Duffified Live in 2017, and Sweet'N Up with Jeff Spencer in 2024.

His real name given to him by his parents is Kyle Marcoux. He is originally from Westfield, Massachusetts before he became based in Queens, New York.
