Tom Malinowski

American politician and diplomat who served as the U.S. Representative from New Jersey's 7th congressional district from 2019 to 2023. As a member of the Democratic Party, he represented his constituents in the House of Representatives during that time.

Before Fame

Between 1994 and 1998, he worked as a speechwriter for Secretaries of State Warren Christopher and Madeleine Albright, while also holding a position in the Policy Planning Staff at the Department of State. Subsequently, from 1998 to 2001, he assumed the role of senior director on the National Security Council at the White House.

Trivia

Upon assuming office in January 2019, he made history by becoming the first Democrat to represent New Jersey's 7th congressional district since 1956. 

Family Life

He was born in Słupsk, Poland, and resided in Brwinów until he and his parents departed the country at the age of six. He spent his formative years in Princeton, New Jersey. He has one daughter.
