Wilfried Nancy

About

Retired club defender that originally began his professional soccer career with SC Toulon in 1995. During his 10 year club career, he primarily played in soccer leagues across the country of France. In 2023, he was hired to be the head coach of the Columbus Crew of the United States MLS League. 

Before Fame

He first began playing soccer at the age of 11. Coming up, he played within the SC Toulon youth academy. 

Trivia

While coaching CF Montréal, he led his squad to the 2021 Canadian Championship. Just two years later, he led the Columbus Crew to a 2023 MLS Cup.

Family Life

He lives along with his wife, Nancy, and their two children. He was born of Guadeloupean father and Senegalese-Cape Verdean descent.

While serving as the Columbus Crew's head coach during the 2023 MLS season he coached Darlington Nagbe and Diego Rossi.
