Swedish actress known for her work in numerous Swedish films and television series' over the course of seven decades. She first captured the attention of film audiences with her portrayal of Margareta Lieven in the 1950 drama Jack of Hearts. More recently, she appeared in the 2022 stop-motion animated anthology film The House.

She studied at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Sweden. It was there that she met and trained with acclaimed actor Max von Sydow.

She had a recurring role in the crime drama series Snoken from 1993 to 1997. She received the Guldbagge Honorary Award in 2018 for her lifetime of achievement in the Swedish film industry.
