American actor who was Part of the duo known as Brown and Carney. They co-starred in a remake of the Marx Brothers film Room Service which was renamed Step Lively.
After performing vaudeville for a number of years, he made his film debut in Convoy and later signed with RKO Pictures and played a role in Mr. Lucky.
He appeared alongside Wally Brown of Brown and Carney in Who Was That Lady? but never actually appeared in a single scene together.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York and died in Van Nuys, California shortly after filming his final film Herbie Rides Again.
He had a cameo appearance in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, starring Jonathan Winters. He was supposed to appear with Wally Brown but Brown died shortly before.
