The Professional Photographers of Canada awarded him with the Photographer of the Year Award in 1968, 1969, and 1973.

Family Life

He has a son, Michael Gilbert, who also became a photographer.

Associated With

Starting in 1950, he has photographed every Prime Minister of Israel, including Benjamin Netanyahu.
