Indie-rock guitarist, songwriter, and arranger widely recognized as the lead guitarist, backing vocalist, and co-founder of the Nashville-based indie-soul rock band The Brook & The Bluff. He is known within his band's inner circle for his distinct guitar riffs, which often serve as the structural backbone and musical spark that inspires their lead singer to write lyrics.

Before fame

His public music career officially launched in the fall of 2014 while he was attending Auburn University. He paired up with a college friend to perform as an acoustic cover duo at local college bars before expanding the project into a full four-piece lineup.

Trivia

Long before he picked up the electric guitar for his current band, he was an avid singer whose high school a cappella group from Mountain Brook High School placed in a national competition, earning them a chance to sing live at New York City's Lincoln Center. The "Brook" portion of his band's name is a direct geographical nod to his specific hometown suburb of Mountain Brook.

Family life

He was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, specifically growing up in the upscale suburb of Mountain Brook.
