British creative director and former music journalist known for being the older brother of late singer Amy Winehouse and known for his role as creative director of the Amy Winehouse Foundation where he has helped preserve and shape his sister's legacy through charitable work, exhibitions, and family-curated projects.

Before fame

He largely stayed out of the public eye and lived a relatively private life while his sister Amy Winehouse rose to global fame in the mid-2000s. He worked as an online music journalist. His life changed dramatically following Amy Winehouse's death in July 2011 which marked the moment when he left his private professional life for a public-facing role connected to his sister's legacy. He helped found the Amy Winehouse Foundation in 2011.

Trivia

He helped curate the exhibition "Amy Winehouse: A Family Portrait" at the Jewish Museum London in 2013 which displayed personal family items and childhood memorabilia. He worked with the Winehouse family on the development and promotion of the 2024 biographical film Back to Black.

Family life

He was born and raised in North London, England in a close-knit Jewish family. He is the son of Mitch Winehouse and Janis Winehouse. He is four years older than his sister Amy Winehouse who was born in 1983. He married Riva Lefton in November 2011 and they have a son named Cosmo together.
