Former two-time world champion that primarily competes in the men's snatch and clean & jerk events for the men's 207 pound, 225 pound, and 230 pound weight classes. In the years 2017 and 2018, he won gold in the Men's World Championships as a member of the Iranian men's national team. He was also given a chance to compete at the 2016 and 2021 Summer Olympics.

He officially began his professional weightlifting career in the year 2015. That very same year, he won two medals at the 2015 Asian Championships in Phuket, Thailand.
