Before Fame

Her curiosity about horror and the paranormal was piqued from the time she was a young child. Growing up, she frequently consumed scary movies and as she began to take an interest in travel when she approached adulthood, the two passions combined into the role for which she has since become best known.

Trivia

On her AmysCrypt website, she has recorded a meticulous and thorough journal on a wide variety of dark or occult topics including paranormal games, recorded UFO sightings, a dissection of the art of witchcraft, and a "field guide" of demented cryptids and creatures.

Family Life

She has been accompanied by her husband Jarred on her visits to haunted locations around the world.

Associated With

In October of 2023, she posted a video of her visit to what many have come to refer to as "America's Most Haunted House." This was the house that inspired the James Wan-directed 2013 horror film The Conjuring, which starred Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson.
