Irish television star most well known for bringing to life Gloria Meek in the British series Shameless. She has also had recurring roles in EastEnders, Doc Martin, and Over the Rainbow and was cast in the EastEnders spinoff Redwater.

Before Fame

Early in her life, she trained in ballet, tap, and modern dance before earning her big break acting in Alan Parker's 1991 film The Commitments.

Trivia

A singer and composter, she penned the music for Over the Rainbow and performed a rendition of Charlie Chaplin's "Smile" in My Girl 2.

Family Life

She is in a relationship with English creative director Patrice Gueroult.
