Well known for her performances at the Salzburg and Vienna music festivals and for her work at the Vienna Volksoper and the Vienna State Opera, this mezzo-soprano is also notable as the co-host of the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest.
She studied vocal performance and conducting at Vienna's University of Music and Dramatic Arts.
Multilingual, she starred in a French film titled Les Lecons des Tenebres.
Born and raised in Estonia, she later settled in Austria with her husband and children.
